A carbon-neutral-focused study centre and archive at St John's College, Oxford, designed before low-carbon strategies were common. A stone-clad concrete frame provides thermal mass to reduce peak temperatures and stabilise the interior, with rooflights and slot windows for daylight. The ground floor consistently stays at or below 24C through passive ventilation. Named 2022 CIBSE Building Performance Champion.
