Completed · Healthcare · Rural Hospital · Tropical · 2018

An 80-bed hospital in flood- and salinity-affected south-west Bangladesh, built as low exposed-brick pavilions threaded by a zig-zag canal that collects rainwater, prevents waterlogging and creates a cooling microclimate. Large tanks store harvested rainwater for use in a region with scarce fresh water. It won the 2021 RIBA International Prize.
