A footbridge reconnecting the mainland and island halves of Tintagel Castle after some 500 years, formed of two independent 33m cantilevers that nearly meet with a deliberate central gap. The structure tapers from 4.5m at the rock to 170mm at the centre and is decked in locally quarried slate set on edge. It was shortlisted for the 2021 RIBA Stirling Prize.
