Sydney Airport International Terminal T1 Chilled Water Plant Optimisation

Sydney, Australia, Oceania

Completed · Transport · Airport Terminal Plant Retrofit · Temperate · 2024

An optimisation of the central chilled water plant serving Sydney Airport's T1 international terminal using machine learning and predictive control. Measures included dynamic condenser water resets and demand-based setpoints for chillers, pumps and cooling towers. Over nine months the project cut energy use by 890,094 kWh, reduced emissions by 704 tCO2 and saved about £98,000.
