A refurbishment of the 1896 National Portrait Gallery that reorients the building towards the city with a new public forecourt and accessible entrance, reopens previously concealed spaces and increases public floor area by around 18 per cent. Heritage features including a lost mosaic floor were uncovered and repaired. It was shortlisted for the 2024 RIBA Stirling Prize.
