National Gallery Sainsbury Wing (NG200)

London, United Kingdom, Europe

Completed · Cultural · Gallery Entrance Remodel · Temperate · 2025

Part of the GBP 85m NG200 programme, this reworks the entrance of the 1991 Postmodern Sainsbury Wing to become the gallery's main entry. Dark glazing is replaced with clear glass, the foyer is enlarged by around 60%, and two new double-height volumes are added. A new public forecourt was created by removing a little-used courtyard between the wing and the Wilkins Building.
