The world's longest immersed tube tunnel (18km) connecting Denmark and Germany, comprising 89 standardised concrete element segments each weighing 73,000 tonnes, cast in a purpose-built factory on the Danish coast and floated into position. Construction began 2021, expected completion 2029.
