Cloud-connected fire detectors with multi-wavelength optical + dual-thermal sensing and autonomous self-testing.

Sinteso Nova and Cerberus Nova are next-generation fire detectors that combine ASAplus optical-thermal sensing with cloud integration (Building X Fire Apps), Disturbance-Free Testing (DFT) for autonomous diagnostics, and Smoke Entry Supervision (SES). They address the AEC need for more reliable early-stage fire detection across distributed multi-building estates with reduced on-site commissioning and testing overhead. Cloud connectivity enables remote status monitoring and fault alerting without site visits.

Sinteso Nova and Cerberus Nova combine ASAplus multi-wavelength optical-thermal sensing with cloud integration via Building X Fire Apps, autonomous Disturbance-Free Testing for remote diagnostics, and Smoke Entry Supervision — a coherent package targeting large distributed estates where on-site commissioning and testing overhead is a material operational cost. Multi-spectral fusion sensing has a genuine technical rationale for reducing nuisance alarms and improving early-stage detection confidence, and remote fleet monitoring is a real operational benefit for building owners managing dispersed portfolios. The procurement problem is that neither EN 54 certification records nor third-party test data are publicly available, and there are zero documented live deployments — performance claims rest entirely on vendor assertion with no independent validation in real AEC settings. For a life-safety system that must satisfy building control, fire safety inspectorates, and insurers, that is a threshold barrier rather than a minor gap: EN 54 compliance and field-proven false-alarm rates are non-negotiable inputs to specification, not optional supporting data. Cloud dependency also creates a single-point-of-failure risk that regulators and building owners will scrutinise — autonomous self-testing algorithms that are not independently auditable may obscure sensor aging or drift in ways that cannot be detected without access to the algorithm's thresholds. Return to this when EN 54 certification and live deployment evidence are available.

Product announced March 2026 via Siemens press release only. No independent EN 54 certification documentation, third-party test reports, or live customer deployments identified in any source beyond Siemens corporate communications and trade-press reprints. Cloud platform (Building X Fire Apps) integration claims not independently validated. Backward compatibility with existing panels claimed but not evidenced. DFT and SES feature efficacy lacks peer review or field deployment data. Inndex score reflects pre-launch / announcement-only status with zero public deployment evidence.
