A unitised, factory-manufactured facade system combining high-performance insulation with thermally broken or triple-glazed units solves a specific problem in tall Passive House construction: achieving consistent airtightness and thermal bridge-free junctions at height through wet trades and scaffolded-access installation is extremely difficult to quality-control, and airtightness failures in high-rise envelopes are both hard to locate and expensive to remediate. Factory fabrication moves the quality-critical assembly into a controlled environment where tolerances can be maintained and tested before units leave the factory.
