Trulifi 6004 transmits data via modulated infrared light embedded in standard luminaires, targeting facilities where RF wireless is prohibited or operationally undesirable — hospitals with sensitive equipment, financial centres requiring electromagnetic containment, secure manufacturing — and claims FIPS 140-3 Level 1 cryptographic validation for the encryption layer. The niche is real: there are AEC settings where RF-free data infrastructure is a genuine requirement, and reusing luminaire infrastructure to carry network connectivity is a structurally sound idea that reduces additional cabling and discrete access-point proliferation. The FIPS validation is meaningful but scoped: Level 1 certifies the cryptographic module, not end-to-end application security, key management at scale, or physical tamper resistance of the fixtures. No customer deployments or throughput benchmarks are in evidence, which is the central gap — FIPS certification alone cannot substitute for operational data on latency, roaming handoff between luminaires, or real-world interference from ambient infrared sources like skylights and radiant heating. However, validation covers only embedded crypto, not optical transport layer security or end-to-end link resilience.
