Eliminating site-laid blockwork across concourses and back-of-house in favour of off-site prefabricated panels is a well-established productivity lever in stadium and large-shell construction, removing the weather dependency, variable labour quality and slow cycle times that wet masonry trades introduce into a fast-track programme. The real value on a stadium project is programme compression: each trade that leaves the site critical path and moves to factory production recovers float, and on a fixed-date sports venue that float is commercially significant. The trade-offs the record is silent on — but which experience in this typology flags — are interface complexity and dimensional tolerance management: prefabricated panels require tight structural and services coordination to land correctly, and the cost saving at the panel level can be absorbed by interface detailing, fixing design and the coordination overhead if that is not resolved upstream.
